Does anyone out there truly understand that the snuggie is a bathrobe worn backwards? After a night of pub crawling, staggering in the house, getting ready for bed, waking up the next morning, that's right, the snuggie is born. And trying to crawl out of the pub in one of those would only cause an injury...I see lots and lots of lawsuits on the horizon. Silly drunken snuggie inventors! Happy New Year!

Oh, Teri, you crack me up!! Sorry to have abandoned you these past few weeks. The holidays make life very busy, and, yes, I think you should take a break next year if you like, but I admire your consistency (and even though I haven't been commenting, I have been reading!).

I had to take a moment this New Year's Day (Happy 2010!) to comment on your Snuggie post. Snuggies are somewhat of a joke around our house. We TOTALLY don't get them either. Actually my husband despises them. As a joke, we bought him one for his birthday. It was the fastest return in the history of returns. He SO did not want to be labeled as the owner of a Snuggie. It's not just the name (although that is a big part of it), it's the look and the very strange actors they got to play in the commercials. And, I have no idea what pub crawling is...and if a Snuggie is involved, I think I'd choose to remain ignorant! Oh, but his Snuggie did come with a pretty nice book light for those late night reads (hey, maybe they are reading classics- we can hope!). There are some pretty funny (but completely inappropriate) YouTube videos that do parodies on the commercials. They are definitely in the FUNNY, but WRONG category.

Yes, if 4 million could invest in something like TJEd, instead of the Snuggie market, then we would be on our way...So the real question is, how did the makers of Snuggie get their message out to so many people and convince them that their product was something every American "needed"? The 4 million couldn't have all bought them as gag gifts like us, could they? Maybe we should all pitch in for some TJEd infomercials...I could see the the possibilities in that! Seriously. :)
