Love Christmas! Spending time with family. Making new memories to cherish. My favorite by far this year was my husbands gift to me. Short on cash this year, he became extremely creative. I have a favorite hair pick that keeps my hair in a bun. I cannot find another like it….anywhere. So the week before Christmas; just when I need to be in the garage, sorting, wrapping, etc. I was not allowed in. He was “working” on the car and needed the garage door shut. Come Christmas Eve, I found out that he had been spending dozens of hours fashioning five delightful hair picks for me out of exotic hard woods. Zebra wood, blood wood, rosewood, etc. I have never seen anything so beautiful. And I was so touched.

My husband has been on vacation for a week and it has been a really good experience. We were able to have a Skype call with our son who is currently in Cambodia. Our 8yo son received a knitting loom for Christmas and it has kept him and his 11yo sister busy and happy and working together since Christmas. There have been many other blessings. I am looking forward to starting the new year with these memories and their momentum.

I loved that Nate was able to get off from work early on Christmas day so we could spend lots of time with both our families!

One of the best memories was Christmas Eve, with extended family. The all-out nerf battle with 6 children, ranging in age from 5 to 43!! The almost 20 year old helped the 5 year old practice his military roll to avoid a direct hit…racing around the house for a few hours laughing till we cried. Priceless!
