Celebrating the MOBs!

Today…

it is my pleasure..

to hook up with this…

which stands for Mothers of Boys.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I qualify…

due to the fact that these five…

do, indeed, call me Mom.

They are a significant MOB in and of themselves…

ranging in age from 23 to 10.

I started this blog…

for reasons…

that, at the time…

weren’t necessarily clearly defined.

Some days…

I still wonder!

I know that I believe in leadership…

and the tenets that are outlined…

in the methodology titled…

“A Thomas Jefferson Education.”

It is my personal conviction…

that all people lead every day.

It just looks different for everyone involved.

Some lead through service…

still others through excellent blazing…

of both trails and new frontiers.

Many believe they aren’t leaders.

I still stand firm.

You lead…

whether through trying to get a two-year-old…

to embrace peas and squash…

or conversely…

trying to inspire a major corporation…

or institution…

to take a different direction.

Still others…

lead through sports…

the arts…

or community services.

Leading well…

should involve passion…

which in turn inspires others.

For when it does…

it changes the world…

one individual at a time.

Those individuals…

add up to masses…

and change on a global scale.

It all starts…

within the smallest form of government:

the family.

As my blog has evolved…

I have been blessed with so many relationships…

through readers…

as well as opportunities…

that I could never have imagined!

I strive to be relevant…

relational…

and most of all, REAL.

Anything and everything…

looks marvelous on paper…

or even a screen.

The contrived…

is the enemy of truth.

Day-to-day challenges…

messes…

and screw-ups…

honestly do produce…

the greatest leaders…

that the world has ever known.

And your reaction to change…

is paramount to a life lived well…

or tragically wasted.

If you look too perfect…

too clean…

too put together…

then you probably aren’t really living.

I’ve had opportunity to choose…

both life and change this past year.

I pray every day that I’m choosing wisely.

Life is great…

and God is good…

all the time!

Because that which doesn’t kill us…

really will make us stronger!

Mothers of Boys are prolific in…

noise…

rambunctious games and toys…

both land and sea-faring ploys…

don’t initially see a lot of poise…

but experience countless joys!

So glad you popped in today!

I have the best readership ever.

I am a blessed woman.

For I…

am a mother of boys.

    because I never do!!!

Teri- WOW! Your boys are so handsome. I can’t imagine 5 boys. Yes, I love the cheeks of both my kids! I am very interested in the TJ Education. I will have to look into that book. Thanks for your encouragement. Blessings, Shonda (from Milk N’ Honey)

I can just imagine the energy in your home! Oh, my! I have just one boy and sometimes I cannot believe the creative mischief he can come up with… but what fun! FUN! FUN! I do wish I had more boys, but I know I don’t get to choose. Although, we are seeking adoption, in which case we would like to have our son grow up with a brother.

It’s nice to meet you, and thank you for stopping by my place. Quite a beautiful family you have :)
